Milinn Spady Glass

We love the vibrant colors in Milinn's work. The colors are so lively and fun. Her plates range in sizes from big gorgeous serving platters to teeny glass plates perfect to rest your earrings in. If you are in our neighborhood, check out her collection here at Splurge and grab a drinky at Acadia- where Milinn created their gorgeous fleur-de-lis sconces. Lovely.

Fabulous Magnets

These beauties are made from an old un-loved atlas. Keenly crafted by Kristen Pumphrey of her company, Pommes Frites. I love a good magnet and these fit the bill. I'll be sending my Texas peeps the Portland magnet so they won't forget me;)

Embroidery Cards by Papaver Studio

These great cards look amazing when embroidered. They are designed to put creativity in your hands. Now here is a card you can keep forever. I would frame it too!

To Embroider: lay card open on a stack of paper (or a foam mat) and punch out holes using a large needle about 1/8 of an inch or less apart following the grey lines. If you want to get fancy, follow the black ones too. Then using a smaller needle and 3 of the six strands of embroidery floss, back stitch through those holes following the grey lines. Ta da, you've made a card!

Don't have embroidery thread or needle? We've got you covered!

Happy Earth Day! 20% Off Mugwump till Sunday!

It's nice to have an Earth Day to remind us to do our part. All the little things add up... Turn off the lights. Turn off the water while brushing. Walk to the store once in a while. Use, reuse and recycle. Enter Suzanne Keolker , creator of Mugwump. She creates lovely accessories with items that would be headed off to the landfill. By altering these unwanted items, she gives them a renewed life. How can an old "Cat in the Hat" book be discarded? Her work is prolific, from wallets out of maps to purses out of place mats. We are offering 20% off your purchase of any of her creations now thru this Sunday. As Suzanne says, "Save the earth and look good doin' it!"
